The Third Luminous Mystery Another mystery of light is the preaching by which Jesus proclaims the coming of the Kingdom of God, calls to conversion (cf. Mark 1:15) and forgives the sins of all who draw near to him in humble trust (cf. Mark 2:3-13; Luke 7:47-48): the inauguration of that ministry of mercy which he continues to exercise until the end of the world, particularly through the Sacrament of Reconciliation which he has entrusted to his Church (cf. John 20:22-23). (Pope John Paul II, The Rosary of the Virgin Mary, para. 21)
Jesus came to Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God: "This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the good news." (Mark 1:14-15) Jesus said to them, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained." (John 20:21-23)
Jesus has proclaimed the kingdom of God to you, and you have said "yes" to the Good News and "no" to sin. Every moment that you live, He is breathing into you the divine power of the Holy Spirit as He sends you forth into a world of sin, and every time you get hurt, He asks you to reveal His light by forgiving the sinners and doing good to them in His name.
