Make a
and benefit Good News Ministries
Here's an easy way to donate — without spending any money — to Good News Ministries!
You search the Internet at least once in a while, right? GoodSearch is a tool that uses "Yahoo! Search" technology but with an added bonus: Use GoodSearch as your search engine - from anywhere in the world - and they will donate to Good News Ministries half of the advertising revenue generated from your search, without you paying anything!
Although we hope you'll always choose Good News Ministries as the charity you want to help, you can easily choose a different charity every time you make a search.
- When you search the Internet, don't "Google" for it, "GoodSearch" for it.
- Add the GoodSearch toolbar to your browser to keep Good News Ministries readily available as the financial beneficiary of your search.
According to a New York Times article (December 26, 2005) written by Bob Tedeschi, "GoodSearch users need not worry about the site collecting potentially sensitive information about their charitable endeavors, because the company does not require users to register or otherwise identify themselves. Rather, the site's visitors specify a beneficiary before they search, and the site designates an anonymous donation for that search."
Because Good News Ministries is a U.S. registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we are listed in GoodSearch's database of charities.
Try it now! Go to www.GoodSearch.com (it will open up in a separate window), look for "I'm supporting <enter your charity here> " and type in Good News Ministries of Tampa Bay (make sure you spell that correctly: it's "ministries" not "ministry"), then click "Verify". You'll see "(Valrico, FL)" pop up at the end of our name. Now use the "Search the Web" box to find whatever you're looking for.
You can put that search engine into your Favorites Folder to go back to it every time you need to make an Internet search, OR you can make it easier by downloading the free toolbar. The link for the download for Windows Internet Explorer and the Firefox browser are on that same GoodSearch.com webpage you were given above. The toolbar is incredibly easy to install. Here's what your browser will look like after the toolbar's been automatically added to it:
Your favorite charity will always be shown there, and if you choose more than one charity, each will remain listed in a drop-down menu so you can easily alternate between them.
Notice that it also comes with a Popup Blocker, which will prevent annoying pop-up advertisements that some websites have. Cool, huh?!
Thanks for your help!
