If you live in the Tampa Bay area, please let us know. We're seeking local people who are interested in Good News Ministries and would like to be a part of something that makes a difference in the lives of others, helping others grow spiritually while also continuing their own growth, turning whatever they feel passionate about into ministry.

2. Digital Production Assistant for Good News Studios
Good News Ministries (a Catholic evangelization organization with a global reputation) is seeking a creative, innovative, development-minded Production Assistant to help with video and digital media work: youtube, DVD production, flash, podcasts, website maintenance, PPTs, interactive PDFs, etc.
This will start as a part-time position at $10/hour with potential to become full time. Must live in the Tampa area and be able to work from our office-studio daily. The right person for this job is Catholic with a strong knowledge of Church teachings, interested in participating in the New Evangelization that the Pope is calling for, has leadership skills and a collaborative team spirit, and desires to serve God with his/her talents.

Good News Ministries needs to expand its outreach to our Hispanic brothers and sisters.
- We need someone who lives in the local Tampa area and who is readily available on an as-needed basis to help me with Spanish correspondence so that the staff can provide quick replies (the GNM philosophy is to give fast responses as part of ministering to the person who's trying to communicate with us).
- This team member may also help build up our ministry to Hispanics with their ideas and involvement.
4. Bookkeeping Assistance
Good News Ministries needs a volunteer in the Tampa area who sees their bookkeeping talents as useful to the kingdom of God. Good knowledge of Quickbooks and/or Peachtree accounting software is required, including being able to run reports. If you're also good at fundraising and grant-writing, be sure to mention that!
5. Web Assistant(s)
In exchange for services rendered, you can receive a charitable donation income tax reduction (if you're a US Citizen and if you are a professional web designer who normally charges a fee for webwork) and free web hosting on our server for you own website. We could really really really use the following help:
- PHP & MySQL: I especially could use a helping hand with a couple of ministry pages that use or should use PHP scripting and/or a MySQL database. This kind of work is beyond my level of expertise.
- The ministry for Families of Aborted Children Praying Together has a Prayer Chapel Wall that should get automated. This is an important pro-life ministry that helps parents grieve and heal from abortions and miscarriages, while at the same time it conveys that every life is sacred. Our pro-life ministry is stunted because we cannot do more with it while everything is still handled manually.
- The Good News Prayer Request Room already uses a MySql database but it could use some improvement.

Within the parameters of what Good News Ministries is doing, what are you interested in doing as part of the GNM team volunteer team? We are interested in hearing from anyone of any age who is ministry-minded and self-motivated and willing to volunteer the gifts and talents in a collaboration with the Holy Spirit and Good News Ministries. Note: Applications from those who do not seem to know anything about Good News Ministries will be rejected.
